TOO MUCH TO SAY
Well, here it's THURSDAY, and I'm ... just NOW posting for th efirst itme this week.
And it's 6:10. I've got 15 minutes before I have to clock in. lol. It's gonna not work. XD
Oh dear, and I just heard the Cat Chaos in the hall. One of mom's cats has discovered Grover's wet food, and is slinking in to eat it.
It's his fault for taking two bites and abandoning it. He eats like he's a 5 year old with ADHD.
Anyway.
I feel pretty good today!
Actually, fairly dang decent. I'm a bit crampy from PMS, but like ... my body feels good, and I don't feel OVERWHELMINGLY TIRED.
I wonder if that means my blood sugar is trending downward. We don't know yet.
I DO know that I've bumped my activity up a TON. yeesh.
Monday, I did my little morning walk. Then I walked on lunch for 30 minutes with Jordan. Then I went to the gym with Carey, and THEN we went shopping. Over 7000 steps.
Tuesday was a little morning walk, and then a little evening walk. I didn't make my new step goal of 3000, but I did go over my old step goal of 2000.
YESTERDAY, I did my little morning walk, and then my 30 minute lunch walk ALL BY MYSELF, WHICH WAS BORING AND MISERABLE.
And THEN, we walked Emily Bear when Jordan got home.
Emily Bear is the name of the puppo.
We have decided, yes, we are going to take her in, for sure.
Jordan has already fallen madly in love, but IMPORTANTLY, we've spent enough time with her now, that we also feel confident she will fit in well with our weird little family.
She's a bit anxious - not enough to cause behavior problems, but enough to be shy, and AVOID conflict with the cats, etc. Shes incredibly eager to please, and is very affection/attention driven. She's butter in your hands at the first "WHAT A GOOD GIRL!" She learns REAL quick - not quick enough to be bored, and smart-alecky (like border collies, lol), but quick enough that a couple corrections, and she gets what you're trying to do.
As for taking care of her, we have the support of Nate and Carey, and Emily Bear is best friends with Caly and Fairy, so can go up to the barn, and play with those puppos for free-range dog time, and for us to have dog-free range time, when needed.
As for our goals in getting her, to bring Jordan some extra joy, and to get us both moving more, CHECK AND CHECK.
When we walk her, we both walk a little bit faster - and even jog some - and it's easier to go farthur, because she makes it fun. She's also not hard to control, thank to Carey, so that's all great.
As for, "Does she bring Jordan joy," check out these pictures:
